Agata Góźdź is a biotechnologist graduated from the Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin. In 2006 she gained her PhD degree in neurobiology, carried out at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB) in cooperation with the University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
Her research focused on the death of neurons caused by DNA damage, activation of glial cells accompanying neurodegenerative diseases and neural plasticity, in particular structural plasticity of dendritic spines of hippocampal neurons.
Since January 2018 involved in the project STRATEGMED – “Diagnostics of gliomas based on circulating cell free tumor DNA” (Gliomed).
