Founder and previously The Head of the Laboratory for Cell Research and Application of the Medical University of Warsaw and the Tissue Engineering Laboratory at the Department of Histology and Embryology of the Medical University of Warsaw. Prof. Małgorzata Lewandowska-Szumieł and her team carried out research in the field of tissue engineering, in particular on the use of stem cells in regenerative medicine, developing new systems for cell transplantation using biomaterials and three-dimensional structures, analyzing the response of cells to physical factors in culture and constructing tissue niches based on in vitro mixed cultures.
