In 2022, the European Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation falls on October 8 (Saturday).

The European Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation has been organized annually by the Council of Europe since 1996 in various European countries. The celebrations and events promote and strengthen support for the conscious and altruistic donation of organs and tissues for transplantation, knowledge about transplant medicine and solidarity with patients waiting for transplantation.

This year, the Council of Europe has honored Poland with the task of organizing this event.
