The Head of the Laboratory for Cell Research and Application and the Department of Histology and Embryology, Medical University of Warsaw.

Prof. Małgorzata Lewandowska - Szumieł, together with the team, carries out research in the field of tissue engineering. A Full Professor with substantial academic achievements and scientific project management experience. Her laboratory focuses on using stem cells in a regenerative medicine, development of the new systems for cell transplantation utilizing biomaterials and 3D scaffolds, cell response to physical factors in a culture and the construction of tissue niches based on the in vitro mixed cultures.
