
Since October 2023 up till now Beata Cieślak has been working as a Plenipotentiary of Quality Management System at the Laboratory for Cell Research and Application, which includes Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant, Biobank unit and R&D Laboratory.
Beata Cieślak graduated from Biology Department of Warsaw University, she received master’s degree from microbiology under the supervision of prof. K. Izdebska-Szymona, studying humoral immune response.
She earned her PhD degree at Warsaw University of Life Sciences at the Department of Nutritional Sciences, conducting research on the content of acrylamide, furane and derivatives thereof in nutrition, under the supervision of prof. Mieczysław W. Obiedziński.
Beata Cieślak conducted her research career in the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology in Warsaw, where she worked in the prof. J. Kuźnicki and prof. A. Filipek groups. She has been employed in the Institute of Meat and Fat Industry (current name Wacław Dąbrowski Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology) where she was engaged in qualitative and quantitative analysis of selected ingredients in food as a Plenipotentiary of Quality Management System. She also participated in the project: Food Monitoring in Poland within the years 1996 – 2001.
Beata Cieślak worked also in private companies. As a Food Analyst and Microbiologists she performed the microbiological and biochemical analyses of foodstuffs, packaging, water, food production raw materials and food products. She shared her knowledge and experience leading trainings for the employees of Agricultural and Food Industry.
At Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń Beata Cieślak earned a degree of postgraduate studies in Environmental Protection Analysis, gaining dissertation award. She broadened her knowledge at Koźmiński Academy in Warsaw completing postgraduate studies on Monitoring Clinical Trials.
She carried out numerous training courses on quality management, she is Certified Internal Auditor of Quality Management System following ISO 9001:2008, (TUV NORD) and Laboratory Certified Internal Auditor following PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (2011). As a Plenipotentiary of Quality Management System Beata Cieślak was involved in the implementation of quality systems in different laboratories and institutions.
For many years Beata Cieślak has been engaged in biochemical and nutritional sciences, recently she has been involved in the project on regenerative medicine, in the development of innovative therapies based on stem cells and their derivatives as well as biobanking of biological materials activities.
Within the framework of didactic activities, Beata Cieślak was leading biochemistry lab and courses, delivering lectures and trainings on i.a. quality systems implementation, biochemical analysis, toxicology, nutritional law, food analysis, microbiology, ecology, environmental protection, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) rules.
She is a supervisor of 11 master’s and 6 bachelor’s dissertations.
